According to his Facebook page, he is a scientist, Small Biz Owner, who had worked for Gabby Giffords, a Democratic candidate for Ohio State House.
Begtrup stated that he is committed to furthering education and that he helped found the Walnut Hills magnet school known as the Spencer Center.
He tweeted a post regarding a 10-year-old pregnant girl in Ohio that has shaken up the citizens, and netizens have commented on the same over the social media platform.

Going through his social media pages we can say that he is a social activist. He had marched today with a group of people to support reproductive rights. He had mentioned, "It's only our elected officials who want to turn women into second-class citizens."
